If there is one thing our members know about Ginsanity, we look out for gins that utilise their geography and terroir. ARC has perhaps gone as far as ay other distillery in following this philosophy - 22 of the 28 botanicals used are found in the Philippines, many of which are used fresh. Imagine the amount of french mango, calamansi, pomelo etc used in each distillation!
The distillery itself is located on the outskirts of metro Manila but it may as well be a different country, picturesque vistas are right at the front door of the distillery. The still is from CARL one of the elite still manufacturers in the world; the same one used by distilleries such as Four Pillars & Sipsmith.
This is by no means a new distillery - the family who own and operate Full Circle Distillery have been in teh region for over 100 years, finding their way to theArchipelago in 1918 after the Russian Revolution.
The Philippines drinks more gin per capita than any other country - so you could say they know a thing or two, look out for this distillery to start popping up across the globe.
