Brygga Gin, Sweden
One of the cool things about looking for gins around the world is finding new stuff people won't have even heard of before. We have been looking for a spruce/fir tree botanical gin for a while now so we were naturally delighted to find Brygga. Brygga based out of Göteberg on the West Coast of Sweden, started life as Beersmiths but added a range of awesome Swedish and Göteberg inspired gins and spirits to their range. The name of this gin translates to London Dry with spruce shoots so expect plenty of that piney almost christmassy flavour and smells
This gin uses only 12 botanicals in a classic London Dry distillation but incorporates plenty of juniper and Fir Tree to give a unique Swedish characteristic to the bottle.
We've gone a bit off piste with our cocktails this time as it only made sense to try and blend in the Beersmith range alongside the gin (try and get the beers as cold as possible! - when using them in a cocktail or generally). Be sure to try them as suggested or simply kick back and enjoy them as cold as possible as you enjoy the Autumn months. We are also pleased to finally be able to get the cans of FeverTree - we find cans keep the tonics fresher and are the perfect serve size!
PS. A big welcome to all our new 'Gin Every Quarter' members - great to have you on board.
